CKPP at Bidiversity Convention

The project will advocate the importance of managing and restoring peatlands - forested and deforested - for climate change mitigation. This is an issue the the Contracting Parties of the Convention could support. If this is an outcome of the Convention we are a step closer towards measures for large scale activities to protect and restore peatswamps just like in Central Kalimantan.

A delegation of the project formed by  the partner Wetlands International will organise a side event, explaining the importance of peatlands and the project's methods in restoring drained and degraded areas in Central Kalimantan.
